East Stand tribute, DCL's full-time coaching, Longstaff's water fight and off-camera Spurs moments

Ethan Ampadu lays wreath vs Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road Nov 26

Leeds United celebrated a fine victory over in-form Spurs at Elland Road in Saturday's early Premier League kick-off. It took a second half goal from substitute Noah Okafor to separate the two sides but the result was deserved on the balance of play and chances created.

Here's what you might have missed in off-camera moments.

  • Club staff laying flowers and a shirt on the East Stand seat of season ticket holder Colin Westby, who sadly passed away following the previous home game. Some of his loved ones visited the seat and there was a tribute to him during the match.

  • Ethan Ampadu greeting a pair of military staff from the Yorkshire Regiment in the technical area after doing his pre-game interview with TNT. The skipper and Stuart Dallas were both interviewed for TNT's Sign-Up programme, a monthly British Sign Language production, with interpreters relaying their words to viewers.

  • Dallas having a catch up with Dan James and Sean Longstaff, ahead of the latter's 200th Premier League appearance. The Ulsterman was talking about padel, as per.

  • Ampadu showing fellow captain Micky van de Ven where they needed to go to lay their wreaths before the club's Remembrance game.

  • Pedro Porro screaming at Ao Tanaka after the pair fairly contested a thunderous 50:50. But not in anger, more in excitement after a full-blooded challenge. They shook hands seconds later off the ball.

  • Lukas Nmecha sticking a finger in the face of Jan Paul van Hecke after a coming together off the ball.

  • Ampadu waving to attract the attention of the officials to make them aware of the contact being made before a corner came in. The contact hadn't happened yet, he was just making sure they were looking for it.

  • Joe Rodon getting a huge ovation as he came out to warm up down the touchline for the first time in the first half.

  • Ben Davies and Harry Wilson having a little Welsh moment as they warmed up. Davies then playfully kicked Rodon in the backside as James came to chime in.

  • Longstaff squirting ex-Newcastle pal Sandro Tonali with water as they stood on the touchline during a break in play.

  • Daniel Farke going and giving Mathys Tel a hug after the Spurs man was caught by Jayden Bogle and had a long period of treatment.

  • Nmecha joking with the lino who flagged him offside for the chance that hit the post, when they met at full-time to shake hands.

  • DCL grabbing a rueful but grinning Ao Tanaka's head with both hands and joking with him about the missed second half chance. The striker, who laid on the opportunity for Tanaka, appeared to indulge in some impromptu coaching, demonstrating what his team-mate should have done.

  • Anton Stach coming onto the pitch to congratulate his team-mates and salute the Elland Road crowd.
