Leeds United will face Chelsea on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium where Daniel Farke’s side will be aiming to build on their impressive recent form and reach the final of the prestigious competition for the first time since 1973.

Leading the team out under the iconic arch will be skipper Ethan Ampadu, who spoke to the media to share his thoughts ahead of the game.

“When you are in the momentum of the game and you have got that adrenaline, you get to focus. When you walk out, you understand what Wembley comes with, all of the memories that have happened there.

“We are there to make the most of the moment. We want to try and win, but we understand that the level of the opposition is very high and we are going into every game with confidence.

“It is a different game, and a different occasion, but we have to take confidence in what we can do. We will prepare like we have done in the past and we have got to be on it.”

United are due to take over 30,000 fans down to the capital, with the Welsh international heaping praise on their unwavering support: “No matter how far they have got to travel, they are always there in their numbers and we know it is going to be exactly the same.

“We know they are going to enjoy the day but we have got to give them something to enjoy as well. We are not just going out for a day out, we are there to get to the final.

“My message to them is just to be themselves, be loud and get behind us because we are going to try and make another special day. Hopefully this is just the start of something very special but we have got a lot of work yet to do.”
