Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North this weekend, welcoming Chester-le-Street Town Ladies to the Bannister Prentice Stadium.

The Whites will be seeking a return to winning ways, and defender Emily Cassidy is hopeful for the encounter, saying: "We're feeling confident and we've had a good week of training so we're looking forward to the game.

"We've been playing really well since we returned from the Christmas break so we're looking forward to Sunday's game and hopefully getting three points. It's really important to return to winning ways, especially for the goals we've set ourselves at the start of the season, and also we played really well last Sunday.

"We obviously didn't get the win but the performance was really positive so we just now need to pick up three points. It's also important to get back to winning ways because it helps build momentum and confidence for everyone in the team."

Cassidy's first game back for the club was in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Reflecting on her time so far, she said: "I've loved every minute of being back at the club with such an amazing group of footballers.

"But what's even better is how together we are, and how much we get on as a group of players and coaching staff, which is the main thing with why my time has been so enjoyable.

"It's great to get some games in. I would say everyone's been disappointed that we've had some games cancelled due to the weather which we can't do anything about. Obviously we want to be playing but we can't.

"Playing again and putting in some performances which are really positive after the Christmas break is great, so hopefully we can pick up that momentum that we had just before Christmas."
