Leeds United Women earned the Derby Day bragging rights with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers Belles under the Garforth lights.
Speaking after netting her first goal since returning to the Whites, defender Emily Cassidy was delighted to have helped secure another important three points.
“What a performance,” the centre-half told LUTV. “I think from start to finish, first half, second half, we were outstanding.
“Some of the football we played was brilliant and we have carried on that momentum, so a really good game, yeah.
“I wanted to get off the mark at some point this season so I am happy to do it today. A clean sheet on the board too.
“It is something we talked about on Tuesday at training, actually, how many goals we have conceded in the past few games.
“So, it is definitely something we have thought about in moving on through the season. We definitely want to keep those clean sheets and put the ball in the back of their net instead.
“It is definitely about momentum. I think it shows on the pitch, the momentum and how confident we are now that we are getting the wins.
“And it is not just about getting the wins. The performance is there as well. Hopefully we take it into Sunday and get three points against Durham.”
