Two members of Leeds United Women Under-23s were celebrated at the FA Women's National League awards night on Sunday evening following the completion of another successful campaign.
Manager Tara Nolan and goalkeeper Katie Mortimer were amongst those in attendance, both nominated for individual awards related to the success of the campaign.
In the 2025/26 FA WNL Reserve Northern Division, Leeds achieved a respectable second-place finish, finishing with a league-high goal difference of 48, attributed to a mighty 62 goals scored and only 14 conceded - the lowest in the league this term.
United also enjoyed an inspiring run in the FA WNL Reserve Cup, reaching the semi-finals of the competition as they made the trip down to tier-above AFC Bournemouth Development, putting in a strong performance but narrowly losing 2-1.
Accredited to the side's success throughout this campaign, manager Tara Nolan was amongst a four-person shortlist for the Manager of the Year accolade, just missing out on the award to Middlesbrough Reserves' Matthew Gatiss.
More involvement for Leeds continued on the night, as goalkeeper Mortimer scooped up the Golden Glove award as a result of conceding the least goals throughout the span of the season! Congratulations, Katie!
We would like to congratulate Leeds United Women U23s on a hugely impressive campaign, and champion Tara and Katie for their nomination and award respectively.
