Leeds United Women made it three wins from three to top Group T of the FA WNL Cup with a 4-1 victory over Bradford City Women away from home.

Grabbing her side’s third of the afternoon was attacker Drew Greene, showing great composure to round the Bantams’ goalkeeper and find the back of the net.

Chatting with LUTV after the full-time whistle, the attacker was full of praise for her teammates, saying: “A tough performance but we know that it is always tough coming to Bradford.

“We spoke before the game and we obviously had a few players out of position but I think credit to the girls that came in.

“Georgia [Strickland] and Frankie [Chico], I think they did excellent coming on. It just shows the depth that we have got in the squad and what we can do. So, yeah, I am proud of the girls.

“Again, like I said, we knew that it was going to be tough coming here. We knew that we had to win individual battles and just do what we are good at doing, and that is pressing.”

The Whites top Group T after also beating West Yorkshire rivals Halifax Women and Huddersfield Town Women to seal progression to the knockout stages.

“It is a credit to the girls, to the coaching staff, the work that we have put in,” the goalscorer added. “All three of them performances, we are proud of everyone for the results that we have got.

“We want to be in competitions where we are playing the best teams and just to challenge ourselves. We conceded today but we can look at that because it is things to improve on and to work on.

“We can't be perfect every time. There are things that we can look at and we know that we need to improve, but it is just about working hard and getting to the best possible level that we can be.”
