Leeds United Women returned to winning ways with an emphatic win over York City Women, netting five past the hosts featuring a brace from Amy Woodruff.

After the match, first goalscorer Darcie Greene said: “It was a good performance overall.

"We scored two in the opening 15 minutes, it is obviously not good to concede, but we got two goals in the second half, so a good performance overall."

A change to her usual position at left-back, Darcie Greene reflects on her performance starting on the left wing: “It is good to mix it up.

"I have been at full-back the full season but it was good to get on the scoresheet and just a bit of a different game for me today.

“We just take each game as it comes. We played York two weeks ago, so we knew what they were about, but we just wanted to score some goals today."

Looking ahead to next week’s clash with Wythenshawe, Greene said, “Yeah, we know what Wythenshawe can do as well.

“They are high in the league, so we've just got to work hard and go into it to hopefully get three points.”
