Leeds United are back action following the international break, with a Sky Bet Championship clash against Swansea City.

Ahead of returning to home turf against the Swans, boss Daniel Farke addressed the media at Thorp Arch prior to the game.

Beginning with team news, the manager gave an update on the fitness of his squad.

He said: “It's always a bit tricky because just from Tuesday on, the lads were slowly coming back.

“We're still without a few players even today and we'll just have more or less tomorrow to prepare. But also some good news in terms of the players who were injured before the international break.

"So Max Wober was today the first time back in team training. Obviously, it will take a while until he's match fit again, but it's definitely good to have him back in training moving forward.

“Obviously, also for Patrick [Bamford], it was beneficial to have two weeks on the training pitch and also Ethan Ampadu is back in team training since last Friday.

“So overall, pretty good in these terms. Yes, the players who are back from their international duties, we have no new injury concerns apart from Willy Gnonto.”

Saturday’s opponents gave Farke’s side a tough afternoon in South Wales earlier on in the campaign, and the boss expects another difficult clash this time around.

“First of all, I expect a difficult game because the first game after the international break is for us even a bit more complicated,” Farke explained, looking ahead to the match.

“We are quite respectful. We know it won't be the easiest task to create chances against them, to score goals against them, so we have to work for it.

“Under these circumstances it's especially a bit tricky, but we also know how important our home games especially are in the run-in.

“And for that, although the challenge is there and will be a difficult game, we want to find some good solutions to create chances to score goals, and then hopefully also to secure all three points.”
