On Saturday, Leeds United Women take on Bradford City Women at Fleet Lane in the West Riding FA County Cup final, a chance for the Whites to retain the trophy after last season's success.
Ahead of the clash, goalkeeper Carrie Simpson has shared her thoughts: "Everyone is super excited and ready to go and ready to play again.
"Looking at our goals at the start of the season, wanting to retain the trophy was definitely one of them and we're looking forward to playing.
"I think it'll be a good game against Bradford who have just got promoted to our league, so we're always up for a Yorkshire derby.
"Winning in a penalty shootout is always an unreal feeling when you manage to play your part in that and save some penalties," Simpson added on last season's penalty shootout heroics in which she helped secure Leeds the win.
"Sometimes you can play games and you don't feel like you made that much impact, but when you get to penalties, you can definitely play your part and do something positive for the team.
"We want to go out with a win, and then that sets us on the right foot for next season and preparing for that and kicking on, and aiming to be the top which is what we want to do.
"We've just got to keep pushing on and being positive and taking that into next season where we know we want to step on even further from that third place and push on for promotion, because ultimately that's our goal and where we want to be."
