Earlier this month, the Leeds United Foundation launched a special raffle featuring a signed, match-worn Dominic Calvert-Lewin Remembrance shirt from Leeds United's 2-1 win over West Ham United in October.
The initiative aimed to raise vital funds for the Veterans’ Café, helping members come together for a festive Christmas meal at Elland Road. Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, the raffle raised an outstanding £2,454.
Earlier this week, the Foundation were proud to welcome Veterans’ Café members to the Gary Speed Suite for a memorable three-course meal. The afternoon was filled with laughter, music, and camaraderie as the veterans celebrated the festive season in true Leeds United spirit.
Simon Wood, Head of Health and Wellbeing at the Leeds United Foundation, said: "It was fantastic to see the Veterans’ Café members enjoying such a special day together. This event is about more than just a meal, it’s about creating a sense of belonging and community for those who have served our country. We are proud to play a part in making that happen."
Frances Milner, CEO of the Leeds United Foundation, added: "A heartfelt thank you to all of our supporters who gave to the Dominic Calvert Lewin Remembrance shirt raffle. Our Veteran’s Café is such an important part of what we do at the Leeds United Foundation and I’m delighted these funds will go to support our ongoing work with this very special group of individuals.”
