Ashton Gate is a modern stadium, having undergone a major renovation over recent years. In 2016 the new Lansdown Stand was opened, which has a capacity of 11,000 and is two-tiered.
Capacity
The ground’s official capacity is 27,000 and is fairly big in comparison with the rest of the Championship. The Robins’ modern all seated attendance record came in the League Cup Quarter Final against Manchester United. The attendance was 26,088.
Away End
The away end has the capacity to hold up to 4,200 fans. The away end is situated in the North Stand which is called the Ayteo Stand and offers good views to away fans, as it’s located fairly close to the pitch and has no restricted views.
Distance from Elland Road
209 miles- Bristol City is the third longest away day on the fixture list for Leeds fans this season after Cardiff City and Swansea City.
Travel
There are a few ways to reach Ashton Gate. For fans travelling by train, Bristol Temple Meads is two miles away. However, Bristol put on a shuttle bus service which takes you directly to Ashton Gate and is only a 10 minute journey. A return fare is priced at £2. For fans travelling by car, there is very limited parking at the ground. Bedminster Cricket club on Clanage Road is the nearest car parking area however its £10 per car. If you choose to park here it’s a 10 minute walk to the stadium.
Home fans
Last season the Robins’ averaged just over 21,000 for home attendances which is average for the Championship.
