An update from Daniel Farke on fitness ahead of Brentford clash

Boss issues update on squad availability.

Leeds United will look to carry on the momentum from two brave performances at Elland Road last week, travelling to London to face Brentford.

The Whites make the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium after earning a thrilling win over Chelsea, and hard-fought point from reigning champions Liverpool.

Ahead of the clash against Keith Andrews’ Bees, Daniel Farke has issued an update on the fitness of his players, including Lukas Nmecha in the group unavailable for the game, alongside Sean Longstaff and Dan James.

"Not confident at all, so he will also miss this game," the Boss commented on Nmecha. "He's still a bit symptomatic, also we had to rescan and yes, it's still not completely healed and he's definitely out for this game.

"Of course I would like to have them back for the Crystal Palace game, but each and everyday matters and we decide from game to game. He's doing individual work with our rehab coaches and for that, no chance to be involved for this weekend.

"It's always a bit difficult because Sean Longstaff, Daniel James and also Lukas are all important players for us, and of course you would prefer to have them all available. For that, it's always a chance also for a different player to shine and for that, we don't use this as an excuse.

"We have not done this in the last weeks when Sean or Dan was not available and we we won't use the excuse or feeling sorry for ourselves right now. We travel with what we've got and then we also have a chance.

"During training there are some hits and knocks, but not too bad. So everyone else should be available."
