Leeds United will be celebrating everything to do with books and reading as part of the celebrations for World Book Day at the Sky Bet Championship Fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

There will be an exclusive book stand set-up in the East Stand Concourse with hundreds of books and free book vouchers to be given out to families in attendance, kindly donated by WHSmiths. All of the vouchers can be used in a WHSmith store or at the stall that will be set up near the Gamezstation pod.

Also in attendance ahead of kick-off will be local author and avid Leeds United supporter Tom Palmer, who will be giving out 500 copies of his children's books and promoting his new book Rocky the Rovers. If you would like to have a photo with Tom or ask him any questions, you will be able to find him from 1pm to 3pm in the East Stand.

All of the activity is being delivered through the work being done with the Leeds United Foundation who are supporting the national event that helps to promote reading with youngsters across the country. Staff from the club's official charity have been delivering special Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) sessions at the schools they have been working in throughout the week to help mark the occasion.

The activity for World Book Day is all about engaging young children more in the art of reading, with the aim of making them excited to pick up a book and read and encourage them to do it more often.

The Premier League Primary Stars programme was launched to support schools and their teachers with student engagement levels - using the power of sport to inspire youngsters to learn, be active and develop important life skills through the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs.
