Leeds United are committed to providing our services and facilities for our supporters with disabilities and additional needs.

Elland Road has several wheelchair spaces and seats available for disabled supporters.

Home Fans

Our policy is based solely on eligibility to claim Disability Living Allowance (DLA)or Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

To purchase tickets, all disabled fans must provide proof of disability. The required proof is a current copy of their entitlement to the care and/or mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or entitlement to the Daily Living and/or Mobility component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Please note, the copy must have a proof date of the season we are operating in at the time of applying for tickets e.g for the 23/24 season proof must have a post date of 2023.

To be accompanied by a personal assistant at no extra cost, a disabled supporter must be in receipt of Disability Living Allowance at the medium or higher rate or the enhanced rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).A complimentary ticket for a personal assistant will not be issued if in receipt of the low rate of DLA or the standard rate of PIP.

A concession price is available for disabled supporters irrespective of their level of Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment.

To ensure easier access, tickets for disabled supporters are located in designated areas of the Stadium. However, concession prices for ambulant disabled supporters are available in all stands..

The Nicky Chapman Lounge is an exclusive facility located in the Northwest Corner offering a range of refreshments as the stadium is a cashless stadium payment for refreshments must be made by card.

Access to the Lounge is restricted to disabled supporters and their personal assistants who access their seats via the Ground Tunnel Entrance due to limited capacity. No additional family members will be admitted. Toilets are operated with radar keys, which are available from designated wellbeing officers who will be wearing maroon Hi visual vests.

Audio descriptive commentary for visually impaired supporters are available on a pre-booking basis by contacting our Disabled Liaison Officer via [email protected]. To utilise a headset, card details will need to be saved on your account to act as a deposit of £20. All headsets will be delivered and collected from your seat by a wellbeing officer who will be wearing a maroon Hi visual vest.

Any headsets not returned will be charged the full cost of replacing the headset and unit.

- A Personal Assistant will be admitted without charge in line with our club specific points system on condition that the PA provides support and assistance to the disabled supporter as required.

- The club require the disabled supporter and Personal Assistant to enter the ground at the same time, through the relevant disabled entrances.

- The complimentary ticket for a Personal Assistant is only valid when the disabled supporter is in attendance.

- If the level of help the disabled person requires in the stadium changes at any time either the disabled person or someone on their behalf must notify our Disability Liaison Officer as soon as reasonably possible.

- Personal Assistants under the age of 16 years should notify the stewards/wellbeing officers at the time of entry into the Stadium via the disabled entrances, of their location in the ground in case help is required e.g. during an emergency evacuation or any other instance.

For those disabled supporters who do not require a ticket for a personal assistant, the club have in place wellbeing officers wearing maroon Hi visual vests in the stadium on match days.

Wellbeing officers provide assistant including:

- Help with entry into the ground and location of seat/position and exiting from the ground;

- Safe evacuation should it be necessary.

We offer a wheelchair taxi service in and around the stadium, for anyone that struggles with walking due to disability, injury or illness. Should you wish to prebook this service, or for more information, please contact [email protected].

If you need to bring medication to the stadium, or specific food or drink items due to dietary requirements, please email [email protected] who can provide an exemption letter to ensure there are no issues on the day. For medical assistance at the match, please speak to a wellbeing officer who will be wearing a maroon HI visual vest.

All General Admission Season Ticket Holders can access the Ticket Exchange. Please note, if a disabled supporter puts their seat up for resale and they have a personal assistant Season Ticket, they will automatically be returned as a pair. Matchdays

What is the minimum age you can attend on your own?

Ticket holders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 years will not be admitted into the stadium.

If I am under 16 can I sit on my own?

You must be sat next to the adult who you came with.

Can I go to the toilet without my parent?

Your parent should accompany you to the toilet so that you do not get lost. It is a large stadium with a lot of people in it and it is easy to lose your way.

Can I buy food at the bar and go without my parent?

Whilst you can be served at the bar with food, ideally your parent should accompany you to avoid you getting lost or disorientated.

As a parent, can I leave my child in their seat whilst I go to the bar / food stand?

Your child is your responsibility while with us. You should not leave your child unaccompanied in their seat.

Where shall I go if I lose my child?

You should talk to your child about what they should do in this situation before you visit and make sure they have your mobile phone number for emergencies.

When you arrive, walk around the area so that you are familiar with the landmarks and agree with your child where you will meet them if they get lost.

Take time to point out the stewards and Wellbeing Officers to your child so they know who to speak to if you do become separated.

If you do become separated from your child alert the nearest steward or Wellbeing Officer (they will be wearing Hi Vis tabards), they will be able to help you.

Where do I go if I lose my parent?

If you become separated from your parent do not leave the Stadium. Go to your nearest steward or Wellbeing Officer (maroon Hi-Viz). - they will help you. If you have arranged a meet up place with the adult who brought you tell the Steward or Wellbeing Officer, and they can take you there.

What should I do if fans are behaving aggressively / drunk around my child?

The Stadium can be a loud and daunting experience for a child. You should prepare them in advance about how loud the Stadium may be. If fans are acting inappropriately around you, please notify your nearest steward.

You can anonymously alert the club to anti-social behaviour in the stadium by using the matchday text service and the club will address any issues on the day. The number is 07887 514 789 Please note it the text and only in use on matchday.

Is there a family area?

Yes. This is in the East stand lower (central section)

Can I bring a baby into the Stadium?

No. The minimum age for attending the stadium is 2.

What should I do in an emergency?

Listen to any instruction given on the PA system, listen and do exactly what the Stewards are telling you to do. All Stewards are trained to the highest standard and will tell you what to do and where to go in an emergency.

I am a Child; will I be searched when I come to the Stadium?

If a Steward suspects that you are concealing something that is not permitted into the Stadium, then you will be asked to produce the item, and if you refuse and the Steward still suspects you are carrying something then you will be asked to empty your bag or pockets. Failure to do so will result in you not being allowed into the ground.

I have a disability – Is there somewhere safe for me to view the match?

People with disabilities are welcome to access any area of the stadium. There are designated areas of the stadium for people with limited mobility or those that need wheelchair access. For further information and support, contact [email protected]. Our Access statement can also be viewed here

Match Day Lounge: The Nicky Chapman Lounge is a facility located in the North West Corner offering a range of refreshments. To access the Nicky Chapman Lounge you must be a ticket holder accessing the stadium via the Ground Tunnel Entrance. No additional family members will be admitted. Toilets are operated with radar keys, which are available from designated stewards and Wellbeing Officers (maroon Hi-Viz).

Headsets: Headsets for visually impaired supporters are available on a pre-booking basis by contacting our Disability Liaison Officer on 0113 367 6178 or email [email protected]. To utilise a headset, a deposit of £20 is required. All headsets must be returned to the West Stand Security Office immediately after the game. The deposit will be refunded upon receipt of the headset. Any headsets not returned will be charged the full cost of replacing the headset and unit.

I have a disability - Can my assistant come with me?

A Personal Assistant will be admitted without charge in line with our club specific points system on condition that the PA provides support and assistance to the disabled supporter as required. The club will require the disabled supporter and Personal Assistant to enter the ground at the same time, through the relevant disabled entrances.

Sometimes my condition means that noise gets too much – is there somewhere that I can go to calm down?

If you temporarily need a quiet area due to your condition, please contact a Steward or Wellbeing Officer who will be able to access a quiet room for you.

What do I do if something concerns me about a member of staff?

On a matchday, you can report the concern to a Steward. If you are not comfortable doing this then you can contact the Safety Officer on 0113 367 6026 or via the text service: 07887 514 789; or by post to Safety Officer, Leeds United Football Club, Elland Road, Leeds, LS11 0ES.

How do I report something I am worried about?

There are several ways you report something you are worried about.

Visiting Fans

Visiting supporters have access to the wheelchair bay platform within west stand that is an elevated platform to ensure full visibility of the pitch. We do not restrict any supporter to a particular area, to enable personal preference and individual requirements.

Away supporters can park in the park and ride car park off Bobby Collins Way, which is near the away coaches. If you have a blue badge, please have this on display and park in Fullerton, off Elland Road, you will be parked in the first 2 rows and no payment will be required with a blue badge presented. We are unable to prebook parking.

Accessible toilets are located within the away area for visiting supporters. All toilets are fitted with RADAR locks and supporters can use their own key or contact a nearby wellbeing officer who will be wearing a maroon HI visual vest who are in possession of keys.

A Changing Places facility is also available to visiting supporters upon request, however, we ask that if you may require this facility, you email [email protected] prior to your visit.

Elland Road is a cashless stadium, please be advised to pay by card on all concourses. However, if you wish to purchase a Matchday Programme, payment is by cash only. Matchday Programmes are priced at £3.50 and can be purchased from our programme sellers who are located in and around the away section.

Away Fans are situated in the South End of the John Charles West Stand. The away turnstiles are located at Entrances 1 & 2 and / or Howards Bar Entrance depending on the allocation taken by the visiting club.

Away supporters who have purchased tickets in the designated accessible seating areas and wheelchair positions access the stadium via a ramp at Exit W1 Gate just adjacent to Entrance 1 & 2 / Howards Bar. This entry point is located through the main West Stand gates off Elland Road.

Any headsets not returned will be charged the full cost of replacing the headset and unit.
