Five moments to remember between the two sides...
Leeds edged a five-goal thriller the last time these two sides met in the Championship at Ashton Gate. After a goalless first half, Leeds took the lead through El-Hadji Diouf, before Albert Adomah equalised for the hosts. Leeds then took charge with another from Diouf and one from Michael Tonge, before a Rudy Austin own goal pulled one back for the Robins.

It was fun in the snow for Leeds at Ashton Gate back in February 2012. With Neil Redfearn in caretaker charge following the departure of Simon Grayson, Leeds won 3-0 thanks to goals from Robert Snodgrass, Ross McCormack and Luciano Becchio. To make matters worse for the hosts, City ended up with nine men following the dismissals of James Wilson and Yanick Bolasie.

A year earlier, Leeds kept up the pressure on the leading pack with an impressive 2-0 win at Ashton Gate, with both wingers Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel scoring. The game also saw the debut of loanee Eric Lichaj.

It was a mixed night for Leeds striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink when the two sides met in the Coca Cola Cup second round second leg in September 1997. The striker had given the Whites the lead but saw red later in game. Leeds lost the game 2-1 but went through 4-3 on aggregate. For the record, Bristol City’s goals came from Greg Goodridge and Shaun Taylor

It was a point apiece at Ashton Gate when the two sides met on the opening day of the 1979/80 season. Alan Curtis scored a brace on his Leeds debut, while Tom Ritchie and Pertti Jantunen replied for the hosts.
