Everyone connected with Leeds United would like to wish Howard Wilkinson a very happy 70th birthday today.

Howard, the club's most successful manager after Don Revie, was the man who brought the club out of the 1980s doldrums and delivered not only top-flight football once again with promotion in his first full season in charge, but also the Football League Division One title in 1992.

Howard, who remains the last English manager to lift our domestic league title, also brought back European football during his eight-year tenure as Elland Road boss.
