DERBY: NO WHOLESALE CHANGES - EVANS

Steve Evans provides team news ahead of Tuesday's clash...

Steve Evans has hinted at altering his side for Tuesday evening’s visit of Derby County, but the United head coach insists wholesale changes will not be made.

Evans is preparing his team for their second game in the space of just over 48 hours following Sunday’s 1-1 draw away to Nottingham Forest.

Alex Mowatt is set to miss out again as a precaution, with the midfielder currently nursing a slight groin problem, but Evans says he does not plan on shaking things up too much elsewhere.

“There aren’t going to be eight or nine changes because there can’t be,” he said.

“It’ll be a lot of the players who played at Forest. But we’ll be ready, don’t worry about that.

On Mowatt, Evans added: “Alex has been training, feeling a bit sore and then feeling okay the next day.

“If we allow that to continue then he knows and I know what’ll happen – he’ll pull his groin and be out for eight weeks. If we give him 10 days then it should be fine.”
