Five moments to remember...
Leeds returned to winning ways on November 3 1990 and moved up to seventh in the First Division table with a 3-1 home win against Nottingham Forest. Leeds took the lead through former Forest hitman Lee Chapman and doubled the advantage from a Gordon Strachan penalty. Gary McAllister then hit his first goal for the Whites before a Nigel Jemson consolation.

Last season’s meeting promised so much in front of a near-capacity Elland Road crowd, but the game ultimately failed to meet expectations in a goalless affair at LS11. Leeds came closest to breaking the deadlock through Charlie Taylor but that was about it.

With both sides going for promotion from League One, an entertaining game took place in February 2008. Forest took the lead through a Julian Bennett header but Leeds, now under the guidance of Gary McAllister, earned a point from a Jermaine Beckford penalty.

Steve Guppy went from hero to villain on August 21 2004. The left winger headed in Frazer Richardson’s cross in the first half to give United the lead, before going on to concede a penalty in the second, which Andy Reid converted to earn a share of the spoils.

April 2 2011 was one to remember for the Whites as they defeated Forest 4-1 in a bad tempered game at Elland Road. The visitors has Chris Cohen sent off in the first half and Leeds took full advantage by taking a 2-0 lead through Jonny Howson and Luciano Becchio. Forest hit back through Garath McCleary, before a brace from Max Gradel finished the job for the Whites.
