Pablo Hernandez has today signed a new two year deal with Leeds United. To celebrate, we take a look at his top five goals in a Leeds United shirt.
5) Tuesday 26th December 2017 v Burton Albion
Hernandez helped Leeds United secure all three points in a 2-1 win against Burton Albion on Boxing Day at the Pirelli Stadium. His fine strike from a free-kick got the better of Stephen Bywater, to pull the scores level.
4) Saturday 10th March 2017 v Reading
Number four is Hernandez’s effort against Reading at the Madejski Stadium back in March. He picks up the ball just inside the Royals penalty area, before firing a beautiful effort into the top right corner.
3) Saturday 17th September 2016 v Cardiff City
Hernandez’s strike against Cardiff sealed a 2-0 victory against the Bluebirds last season. His drive into the penalty area was finished with a delightful strike which found the net via the post.
2) Tuesday 24th October 2017 v Leicester City
Number two saw Hernandez open the scoring in the Carabao Cup against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. He worked room to get a shot away and his curling effort from the edge of the area found the back of the net via the crossbar.
1) Saturday 23rd December 2017 v Hull City
The winner goes to Pablo’s fine effort against Hull City, which secured Leeds United all three points just before Christmas at Elland Road. He pounced on a poor goal kick from Allan McGregor, before lobbing the Tigers stopper with an exquisite chip.
