Leeds United are pleased to announce Academy full-back Will Firth has signed a first professional contract with the club.

Across the Under-21s and Under-18s in the previous term, the versatile defender made 25 appearances and scored two goals. He has now penned a one-year deal with the Whites.

Showing his leadership qualities, Firth captained the U18s last season on nine occasions, as well as featuring 15 times for Scott Gardner’s U21s.

The 18-year-old gained valuable experience against Sky Bet League Two sides Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley in the Vertu Trophy alongside three outings in the National League Cup.
