The draw for Leeds United Under-21s’ 2026/27 EFL Trophy campaign has been announced, with the Whites placed into Group G of the Northern section.

Scott Gardner’s team will travel to Oakwell to face Sky Bet League One side Barnsley, alongside Sky Bet League Two outfit Oldham Athletic and a return to Fleetwood Town who Leeds faced last term.

Previously, a youthful United side gained great experience in meetings with third tier Port Vale as well as League Two sides Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood.

The top two from each group progress to the knockout stages, with EFL Trophy fixtures remaining regionalised until the Quarter-Final stage.

The EFL’s record domestic rights deal with broadcaster Sky Sports will see every EFL Trophy match broadcast live on Sky Sports for fans in the UK.
