Mark Jackson’s Under-23s side play under the lights of Elland Road on Friday evening, in their latest Premier League 2 Division 1 encounter (7pm).

The Whites will take on high-flying Arsenal in West Yorkshire, as they look to get back to winning ways in the league after four matches without tasting victory.

The visitors are currently third in the table, having won six out of their nine matches up to now, under the guidance of Kevin Betsy.

This will be the first time that Leeds have played at Elland Road this season at Under-23s level, with a large crowd set to be in attendance on the night. Jackson’s side have previously played twice at Thorp Arch and twice at York City’s LNER Community Stadium, during the course of this season.

Arsenal’s away form up to now has seen them win two from four. Betsy’s side were beaten 6-1 in their first clash on the road against West Ham, before then bouncing back with a derby victory at Spurs, and a 6-1 win of their own against Chelsea.

Top-scorer for the London outfit is Folarin Balogun, who is also a name known within the first team squad. The 20-year-old has found the net seven times in the U23s, whilst also playing three times for Mikel Arteta’s first team squad this term.

Joe Gelhardt remains at the top of the scoring charts with six, whilst former Arsenal forward Sam Greenwood is catching up on four. Amari Miller, Crysencio Summerville and Max Dean have two in the league to their name.

The match is set to be shown live on LUTV, but fans can still purchase tickets to attend the game at Elland Road, with ticketing information at the bottom of the page.

What has Mark Jackson said, ahead of the game?

“They’re a very good team, like you would expect with a club like Arsenal. They have a rich history of being a top academy and we are expecting a very tough game. From what I have seen of them, they have talented players all over the pitch. We know we are going to have to be right on top of our game to get the result we want.”
