Mark Jackson has given his thoughts on the upcoming Premier League 2 Division 2 clash with Arsenal.

Leeds United’s Under-23s head coach feels his side have prepared well and are now ready to face a strong Arsenal side, on Friday evening.

“Like with any game, we do our research on the opposition,” Jackson explained.

“Our analyst looks into them a lot and then we look at that information as a coaching team to help formulate a plan of how we will approach the game.

“We have a way of playing and a style that we want to implement every game, but looking into them gives us ideas of where we need to be mindful of things, or areas we can exploit.

“They’re a very good team, like you would expect with a club like Arsenal. They have a rich history of being a top academy and we are expecting a very tough game.

“From what I have seen of them, they have talented players all over the pitch. We know we are going to have to be right on top of our game to get the result we want.”

It will be the first time this season that the side have played at Elland Road. The match is set to attract plenty of support and that is something which Jackson and the side are looking forward to.

He said: “Once it comes around, I am sure the lads will be looking forward to playing on the first team pitch.

“I understand we’re getting some support in the ground which will be fantastic for the players.

“I’ve said after the games in York with the supporters there, it’s a great environment with Leeds fans going to support us there, but playing at Elland Road with a good few thousand fans will be a great night for the lads.

“We’ve been fully focused on training this week but now the game is closer, the boys will be relishing it.”
