Mark Jackson’s Under 23s side take on Spurs in their first home match of the Premier League 2 Division One season, having won away from hope on the opening day (4pm).

Taking place at Thorp Arch, Leeds will be facing Tottenham Hotspur in the afternoon kick-off in the second match of the season.

Last Monday, Jackson’s side travelled to Selhurst Park where they faced Crystal Palace. An entertaining clash which saw a red card, two missed penalties and four goals ended with a 3-1 victory for the Whites.

Tottenham drew their opening fixture of the season, when they were the home side against Chelsea at the Lamex Stadium in Stevenage. Having been two goals down at half-time, goals from Dilan Markanday and J’Neil Lloyd-Bennett saw Spurs come back to level the clash and take a point.

In charge of the Under-23s for Tottenham is 49-year-old coach, Wayne Burnett. A former professional himself, the midfielder has been in his current role since June 2017.

Whilst Leeds comfortably won the title last season in Premier League 2 Division Two, Spurs were impressive at the level above, finishing third in the league that the two teams now meet in this season.

With plenty of talented players within the side, one star missing from last season for the visitors will be Kion Etete, who has joined Northampton Town on loan in Sky Bet League Two.

League position:

Leeds: 4th

Spurs: 10th

Top scorer:

Leeds: Crysencio Summerville, Liam McCarron, Sean McGurk (1)

Spurs: Dilan Markanday, J’Neil Lloyd-Bennett (1)
