U21s Preview: Wolves vs Leeds United

Whites back in PL2 action.

Kidderminster stadium

Leeds United Under-21s will be keen to extend their unbeaten start to the season, as they travel to Kidderminster to face Wolves Under-21s on Monday evening.

Having drawn their opening three Premier League 2 matches so far, each by a 1-1 scoreline, the Whites travelled to South London last time out to face Charlton Athletic in their Premier League Cup opener.

An enthralling encounter in the capital, Luca Thomas’ superb strike handed United an early lead at The Valley, but the hosts quickly levelled as the sides went in all square at the break.

Chances came and went for both teams in the second half, but neither were able to find a winner as Leeds were forced to settle for another 1-1 draw.

Gardner’s side sit two points above Wolves, who have drawn once and lost twice in their opening three PL2 encounters.

The Midlands outfit started with a 1-1 draw away at Brighton, before falling to defeats at the hands of Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

The sides met last season at Aggborough Stadium, where the hosts prevailed thanks to a 2-0 victory.

Action from Kidderminster gets underway at 7pm.
