Leeds United Under-21s will be keen to bounce back as they travel to North London to face Tottenham Under-21s in the Premier League 2.
Scott Gardner’s side had kicked off the new term with a number of strong performances, remaining unbeaten against Stoke City, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace in the league and opening their Premier League Cup campaign with a well-deserved point away at Charlton Athletic.
Despite seeing a lot of the ball last time out against Wolves however, the hosts ultimately claimed victory in Kidderminster despite Luca Thomas’ second half penalty.
Even though Scott Gardner’s side were beaten in their previous outing, the Whites remain above last season’s Premier League 2 champions Tottenham, by virtue of goal difference.
It has been an indifferent start to the new campaign for Spurs, who have fallen to defeat at the hands of Newcastle United, Southampton and Fulham after their opening day victory away at Chelsea.
Last term proved to be an enjoyable one for the North London outfit, winning the league by four points over West Ham United and having forward Will Lankshear finish as the competition’s top scorer with 18 goals in just 19 appearances.
The two sides met once last season, with Jude Soonsup-Bell’s first-half header proving the difference in Stevenage as the hosts ran out 1-0 winners.
