Leeds United Under-21s start the Premier League 2 season with a trip to the bet365 Stadium to face Stoke City Under-21s.

Just five points separated the two teams as last campaign drew to a close, with Scott Gardner’s youthful side ending the term strongly.

The Whites put in back-to-back scintillating performances against Derby County and Newcastle United, starting with a dominant 3-0 victory over the Rams on home soil, before earning an impressive 2-0 win on Tyneside.

A hard-fought draw against Everton followed, before Leeds’ season drew to a close with a narrow defeat at The Hawthorns against an experienced West Bromwich Albion side.

Stoke meanwhile struggled for form towards the end of the campaign, picking up just one win from their final seven matches.

The teams met once last campaign, with United coming from a goal behind to edge out the Potters at the LNER Community Stadium, with Sean McGurk twice scoring from the spot in the second half.

Action from the bet365 Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
