Leeds United Under-21s face Reading Under-21s in Premier League 2 action on Friday evening (7pm).
The Whites travel to the Select Car Leasing Stadium hoping to continue their fine start to the 2023/24 campaign.
An opening day win away from home at Brighton & Hove Albion was followed up with another three points against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Defeat at home to West Ham United ended the unbeaten run, before then returning to winning ways at home to Stoke City last time out in the league.
Michael Skubala’s side have now won four out of their opening five matches across all competitions, after also claiming three points in their opening Premier League Cup fixture last Friday at home to Colchester United.
Noel Hunt is in charge of the Royals and they have had an equally impressive start to the season themselves, having an identical record in the league.
Reading sit just one place above Leeds in the table due to goal difference, with Hunt’s side also winning three and losing once in their opening matches.
They come into this game on the back of a defeat however, having lost 3-0 away from home at Arsenal prior to the international break. Prior to that loss, the team had not conceded in the league having had a run of three straight clean sheets.
In what is expected to be another tight but exciting encounter, both teams will be looking to win the match and if they can do so, it would mean more upwards movement in the table for the victors.
