Leeds United midfielder Ethan Ampadu spoke exclusively to LUTV following Wednesday’s Sky Bet Championship draw with Hull City.

Ampadu was again a key part of the Whites midfield at the MKM Stadium, helping Leeds secure a third successive clean sheet, despite playing for more than 30 minutes with 10 men.

The Wales international gave his assessment on the match as the Whites made it five unbeaten in the Championship.

He said: “Every game is tough, especially when you go down to 10 men against a team carrying a lot of momentum.

“Although they had a lot of ball at the end and a big chance, which we have to thank the post for, other than that, we were comfortable defending in that way, putting bodies on the line.

“Whenever there’s a red card the other team gets momentum and it’s about digging in which everyone did.

“You can’t lose the game if you keep clean sheets, so that is the baseline and what we pride ourselves on.

“In the end, we’re happy with a point, when you can’t go and win a game, you have to make sure you don’t lose it.

“We are also a bit disappointed, though, we had a lot of chances, especially in the first half and up to the 60 minute mark, we just needed to be a bit more clinical.”
