Leeds United Under-21s return to Premier League 2 action as they welcome West Bromwich Albion Under-21s to the LNER Community Stadium on Friday.

The Whites head into the clash in fine form, having scored seven goals in their previous two outings, starting with a stunning 3-0 victory over Tottenham U21s.

A first-half brace for in-form striker Luca Thomas put Scott Gardner’s side into the lead at the break against last season’s PL2 champions, before Jeremiah Mullen’s late header rounded off a stellar display at Hotspur Way.

During the week, United kicked off their National League Cup campaign with a scintillating 4-3 triumph over Lincolnshire outfit Boston United away from home.

The Whites fought back from a goal down on three occasions, with Thomas then grabbing a stunning late winner, his eighth goal of the season, to earn all three points.

West Brom meanwhile sit one point above Leeds in the PL2 standings, having won two of their opening five matches.

Last time out, the Baggies drew 1-1 against Southampton despite Harry Whitwell's opener at The Hawthorns.
