Leeds United Under-21s are taking on Crystal Palace Under-21s at the LNER Community Stadium in York on Friday evening (7pm).
The Premier League 2 encounter will be an eighth game of the season for each side in the newly formed division.
Michael Skubala’s side are currently 12th in the table, with three wins, one draw and three losses from their opening seven matches.
Last time out, the Whites had an entertaining game at home to Liverpool. Sean McGurk and Mateo Joseph scored a goal each in the closely fought 2-2 draw, in York.
The Eagles come into Friday’s match off the back of a confidence boosting win. A double from Ademola Oladipupo Ola-Adebomi and one from Roshaun Andre Mathurin saw Palace defeat West Bromwich Albion Under-21s 3-0 on home turf.
Prior to that, Paddy McCarthy’s side tasted victory just once in their opening six matches, with the other five games all ending in defeat. Monday’s win however has moved them up to 20th in the league standings.
