Leeds United Under-21s are back in action on Friday night at the LNER Community Stadium in York (7pm).

The Whites are facing Colchester United in the Premier League Cup, which is the first game of the competition for both teams.

Michael Skubala’s side have been drawn in Group D of the competition, alongside Friday’s opponents Colchester, along with Chelsea and Luton Town.

In the league, the Whites have started strongly, winning three out of their opening four Premier League 2 matches which has left them in seventh place out of 26 in the opening period of the season.

Colchester play in the Under-21 Professional Development League 2, Group B. From their first five games of the season they’ve won twice and lost three times.

Former West Ham United, Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur winger Matty Etherington is in charge of Friday’s opponents, having taken over this summer.
