Leeds United joined Marching Out Together at Leeds Pride 2024 on Sunday afternoon, as thousands of people took to the city centre streets in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Once again, the club sponsored the annual event in support of our LGBTQ+ supporters, and this year once again Marching Out Together were on hand to lead our walking group through the parade which started near the Headrow and continued down towards Lower Briggate.
The streets were lined with thousands of people of all ages including young children and lots of families, who were all dressed to celebrate the occasion in bright and vibrant colours.
The parade featured live music, a huge rainbow flag and rainbow balloon display, with each walking group, including Marching Out Together and Leeds United, giving away little flags, keyrings, sunglasses, lanyards and other giveaways.
Leeds Pride is a special event that continues to be a celebration of diversity and inclusion, showcasing the achievements and important role of the LGBTQ+ community, whilst also raising awareness around the issues people still face in terms of discrimination and hate crimes.
Marching Out Together also hosted a stall at the event, which included a raffle for a signed Leeds United 2024/25 home shirt signed by the first team squad, and they were able to raise £700 to support the work they do.
