Team News: Durham Cestria vs Leeds United Women

Simon Wood names his side.

Arrivals vs Durham

Leeds United Women make a quick return to FA Women’s National League Division One North action this afternoon, visiting Durham Cestria only four days after victory on Wednesday.

In midweek, the Whites were winners over Doncaster Rovers Belles, running out 4-0 winners in a Yorkshire derby with four different goalscorers either side of the break.

Simon Wood has named his side for the clash this afternoon, making one change to the team from Wednesday, bringing in Ruby Waldron who makes her first start in the league this season.

Waldron replacing Alayna Millard is the only change to the defence, as Carrie Simpson lines up behind Darcie Greene, Captain Shauna Legge, and Emily Cassidy who got on the scoresheet last time out.

The rest of the side remains the same, as another goalscorer midweek in Ellie White, Alice Hughes and Kath Smith make up the midfield, behind a front three of Drew Greene and Sian Gibrill-Keating, who both found the back of the net on Wednesday, and Chloe Dixon.

Charlotte Oates, Abi Lee, Abbie Graham, Brittany Sanderson and Macy Ellis make up the bench this afternoon.

Starting XI: Simpson (GK), Darcie Greene, Legge (C), Cassidy, Waldron, Hughes, Smith, White, Drew Greene, Gibrill-Keating, Dixon.

Subs: Oates (GK), Lee, Graham, Sanderson, Ellis.

Durham: Lydiatt (GK), Mackie (C), Bell, Gibbon, Collinson, Soulsby, Dale, Noble, Ward, Sinclair, Prested.

Subs: Coulson, Monkhouse, Davies, Morran, Atkinson.
