The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Swansea City on Sunday have been announced, with Dean Whitestone set to take charge at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Experienced referee Whitestone has taken charge of almost 600 EFL matches, since debuting in a 2005 fixture at Notts County.

The Northamptonshire-based official has overseen 10 matches involving the Whites, though United have struggled for consistency in those clashes, winning twice and drawing on four occasions.

Yet to be in the middle this season to referee Leeds, Whitestone officiated Daniel Farke’s side three times last campaign, including the 1-0 victory away at Leicester City. Whitestone also oversaw the Under-18’s FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City at the Etihad.

Swansea, meanwhile, have won six of their 12 matches with Whitestone in the middle, however they were held to a 2-2 draw by Hull City last time out.

2024/25 stats:

Games (all competitions): 10

Yellow cards issued: 36

Red cards issued: 0

Other match officials selected:

Assistant referees: Daniel Leach & George Byrne

Fourth official: Oliver Langford
