We are asking any Leeds United fans that are able to support three-year-old Archie Vaughn and his army of supporters, to donate anything they can to help raise vital funds that could save his life.

Archie was devastatingly diagnosed with a brain tumour at the beginning of June (2021) after his parents had seen he was noticeably wobbly on his feet and had started with a slight head tilt. After undergoing various CT and MRI scans, the family's worst fears were confirmed and since then they have been fighting as hard as they can to find the right solutions that will help to save his life.

Archie’s family is made up of mum and dad, Hayley and Craig, older sister Lily who is 10 and older brother Harry who is six, along with their family dog – Bella the Beagle.

Together they have spoken to a number of specialists and looked at as many different options as they can as to how to treat the brain tumour, with surgery and chemotherapy originally ruled out due to the high grade of the tumour that was seen to be in an unfavourable position for surgery.

However, after further research including speaking to other families that have dealt with similar situations, they finally found a Paediatric Neurosurgeon at Alder Hey Children's Hospital that agreed to operate to try and remove the tumour.

The operation will take place today (Thursday 15th July) and the care that will be needed for Archie after surgery could cost up to £100,000, which is why his army of supporters have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help raise vital funds to support the family. Any of the money donated that is not used will be given to other families dealing with similar situations and to help fund research into future treatments.
