The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Sunderland on Tuesday have been announced, with Stuart Attwell set to take charge at Elland Road.
The Select Group official is in his 16th season in the Premier League. In that time, the 43-year-old has overseen 232 top-flight matches beginning with a 2008 meeting between Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.
The Warwickshire-native has worked his way up the English football pyramid, with almost 250 EFL league matches officiated throughout his career.
In their 24 matches refereed by Attwell, the Whites have won 12 and drawn three. The official’s last two visits to Elland Road have seen United fall to defeat against league-leaders Arsenal and beat West Ham 2-1 in October.
The opposition, meanwhile, have two wins and six draws in their 16 matches officiated by Attwell, with the last meeting between the two sides a dramatic comeback victory in the Championship title race as Pascal Struijk bagged a brace to send Elland Road into pandemonium.
Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Paul Tierney and Additional VAR Ian Hussin.
