Stuart Dallas gave his reaction to the media after his Leeds United side were well beaten at home to Liverpool.

The visitors took the lead in the first half and added two more goals in the second, in what was a tough afternoon for the Whites.

Leeds were also reduced to 10 players when Pascal Struijk was sent-off. Dallas was quick to send his and everyone else’s best wishes to Harvey Elliott on his recovery.

“Firstly, our thoughts go to Harvey Elliott,” Dallas said.

“Pascal hasn’t meant to do it, it’s a horrible injury, so our thoughts are immediately with him and hopefully he recovers well and gets back as soon as he can.”

The midfielder then gave his overall thoughts on the match.

“On the performance itself I felt we started the game pretty well. We fed off the crowd, they were loud and gave us a bit of a lift.

“We had an early chance, it was a good save by the ‘keeper and after that they made it really difficult for us.

“They’re a quality side, they were hitting us on the counter attack and creating chances. On the whole it was a difficult afternoon for us.”

Leeds did have chances of their own in the game but were unable to capitalise when they had them.

“You’re not going to get too many chances that are clear cut at this level, unfortunately we couldn’t take one of them,” Dallas reflected.

“It’s been a difficult afternoon for us and we really thought we could build on the performance from Burnley, there was a sense of frustration after that game that we didn’t take the three points.

“We want to make it as difficult as possible for teams coming to Elland Road trying to get a result and we haven’t been able to do that.

“A heavy defeat like this is never good. We’ll not change, but we have got to be better at what we do and we can learn a lot from this.”
