Stuart Dallas attends Holbeck Together's light switch-on

Former player gets involved with festivities.

Dallas light switch-on

Last week, Club Ambassador Stuart Dallas was in attendance at Holbeck Together’s Christmas light switch-on at St Matthew’s Community Centre.

Arranged by Holbeck Together, a community charity based just in the shadows of Elland Road, many locals turned out to mark the first event of many festive calendars.

Leeds United and Holbeck Together have a longstanding relationship, with the organisation acting as a community charity, providing a variety of services and activities to support the community that is just a stone’s throw from the stadium.

The services the charity provide aim to keep people of all ages socially and physically active, whilst promoting healthy lifestyles and choices, and offering affordable food to those most in need.

Holbeck Together was launched as a Neighbourhood Network Scheme in 1992 to support older people living in Holbeck. They now welcome people from all generations, supporting those who are most in need.

“Last week I went to switch on the Christmas tree lights with Holbeck Together at the St Matthew’s Community Centre,” Stuart commented. “I think it is a great place, especially for people who are struggling and isolated, to get out in the community like this around the holiday season.

“It’s really important as a Club Ambassador to represent Leeds United at events like this. The club and Holbeck Together have had a relationship for a while and it’s important that we demonstrate our commitment and support for each other.

“The work they do is fantastic, and it’s really nice to see people come together at this time of year to support one another and enjoy the festive season!”
