After joining Leeds United Women from local side Huddersfield Town Women, Sarah Dobby gave her thoughts on the move.

The experienced midfielder has joined Leeds after having previously playing for the club a number of years ago, and she now can’t wait to get going again.

“It’s fantastic to be back at the club where I started at, many years ago,” Dobby stated.

“Leeds United are my team, the team I support, and I played in the top league with them so it’s a really proud moment for myself and my family to be back wearing a Leeds shirt.

“I think it is the right club for me at this time because I see it as another challenge, which I like.

“I’ve got a lot of experience so it is nice to come in and help a group that moving forward together and going places.

“Leeds are a club I also know really well so it feels like home for me, back at a team I love so I can’t wait to get started now.

“We want to bring this club back up to where we were before. The manager and all the staff behind-the-scenes want to be promoted and push this team on. If I can help with that, that’s my ambition.”

The midfielder is excited at rejoining familiar surroundings and she wants to be able to help the club progress both on and off the pitch.

“It’s a club that is going places, the set-up is fantastic,” Dobby explained.

“I know quite a few of the girls here as well, so I know how good they are, so I hope I can bring that experience to help push them on even further.

“I am hoping I have a lot to give on and off the pitch. If I can help the younger players who haven’t played at a higher level that’s great.

“If I can help on match days on and off the pitch to push us forward then I will try to do that.

"I am quite loud, I feel I can be motivating to others, I definitely shout a lot and like to encourage others to be better.

“I am certainly committed too, I will always give my all and being back at Leeds United I am ready to give 100 per cent at the team I love.”
