Leeds United are pleased to announce Academy midfielder Sam Alker has signed a first professional contract with the club.
The highly-rated 17-year-old will remain at Thorp Arch until 2028 as he continues his development with the Whites after penning a two-year deal.
Last campaign, the versatile midfielder made 20 appearances for Rob Etherington’s Under-18s side and his impressive performances led to three Under-21s outings towards the end of the term.
A debut for Scott Gardner’s team came on Wearside away at Sunderland with Alker then netting a brace on his first start in the final match of the season against Leicester City.
Capped by England at youth level, the midfielder made his U16 debut for the Young Lions against Italy in 2024.
