Leeds United will play West Ham United on Sunday afternoon (13:30) at the London Stadium, in their final away match of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Sam Allardyce takes his side to East London looking to secure his first three points for the club, after being appointed two games ago. An entertaining draw last time out against Newcastle United saw the Whites pick up a point.

In that one, goals from Luke Ayling and fellow fullback Rasmus Kristensen allowed 10-player Leeds to battle back from behind to gain a valuable point against the Champions League hopeful Magpies.

The Hammers come into the game full of confidence after a win at AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night saw them reach the Europa Conference League final, with a 3-1 win on aggregate in the Netherlands.

David Moyes has led his side to their first European final since 1976 and they will compete in the final against Fiorentina on June 7th, at the Eden Arena in Prague.

West Ham can secure their safety with just a point from the game this weekend. Prior to other matches being played, they are six points clear of Leeds with two games to play, and seven clear of Leicester meaning the 19th placed side can’t catch them.

The Whites currently sit 18th in the table, one point above Leicester, one behind Everton and three behind Nottingham Forest. Depending on results elsewhere over the weekend, Leeds could move out of the relegation zone and as high as 16th if everything goes their way.

Having played out a hard-fought draw at Elland Road earlier in the season which finished 2-2, another battle is expected in this one with important points to play for on each side.
