Leeds United will be looking to pile the pressure back onto their promotion rivals as they travel to face Queens Park Rangers in Friday night’s Sky Bet Championship clash.
Daniel Farke’s side currently sit second in the league standings heading into the final two fixtures of the season, after coming out on top of an enthralling seven-goal thriller against Middlesbrough last time out.
Crysencio Summerville drew Leeds level from the penalty spot after falling behind early on, before a superb cross from defender Junior Firpo picked out the run of Patrick Bamford to bundle home against his former club.
The hosts then equalised thanks to a strike from the edge of the area, but the Whites went into the break on top when Willy Gnonto latched onto Summerville’s incisive pass and found the back of the net.
Summerville himself grabbed his second and his side’s fourth after the interval to fire United to victory, holding on for the three points despite Emmanuel Latte Lath’s late header ensuring a nervy end to proceedings at the Riverside.
QPR, meanwhile, took a huge step to Sky Bet Championship safety last weekend as they edged past Preston North End 1-0 at Loftus Road, with Lyndon Dykes' first-half goal proving to be the difference in West London.
With two matches left to play, Marti Cifuentes' side sit four points above Birmingham City in the drop zone, with the Blues facing 23rd-placed Huddersfield Town in a crunch-clash at the foot of the table.
Summerville's early strike separated the two sides when they met at Elland Road earlier in the season, with Hoops' goalkeeper Asmir Begovic seeing red late on.
