Preview: Portsmouth vs Leeds United

Whites travel to Fratton Park on Sunday.

Fratton Park

Leeds United travel to the south coast on Sunday lunchtime, to face Portsmouth away from home in the Sky Bet Championship.

Daniel Farke’s side are currently top of the league standings having gone on a thrilling run of 17 matches unbeaten, but will be looking to return to winning ways after a draw with West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

Having secured promotion from League One last season, Pompey have adjusted to life back in the second tier well and they are 17th coming into the game. Three wins in their last five outings has moved them seven points clear of danger.

When the teams met on the opening day of the 2024/25 campaign, goals were flowing, with both teams having to settle for a point from the 3-3 encounter at Elland Road.

Now with 11 games each remaining of the season, both Farke and John Mousinho will be hoping their side can secure a maximum return in front of a sell-out crowd, in a match that is live on both Sky Sports and ITV.
