Preview: Leeds United Women vs Liverpool Feds

Whites back in action.

WARM UP.jpg

Leeds United Women host Liverpool Feds on Sunday afternoon, in their latest league fixture (2pm).

The Whites come into the match on the back of a resounding victory over Barnsley Women in midweek, where Dan O’Hearne’s side ran out 5-0 winners over their South Yorkshire rivals.

Laura Bartup will be looking to continue her fine form in front of goal, having netted four against the Reds on Thursday, whilst Rebecca Hunt will be aiming to get herself back into the starting line-up after scoring from the bench last time out.

Feds arrive at the Global Stadium after a productive start of their own. Three wins from three matches have the side second in table, only behind leaders Newcastle United on goal-difference.

Leeds currently sit one place behind in third, and have the opportunity to go to the top of the table today with a win, providing results elsewhere also go in favour of United.

Fans are able to attend the match at the home of Tadcaster Albion, with ticket details below. Alternatively, LUTV will be providing a live stream of all the action online.

What has Dan O’Hearne said, ahead of the match?

“Liverpool Feds will be a really tough game. They have won every game and not conceded a goal, they are a very good footballing team and one we respect. But, we will go into it full of confidence and try to pick up another three points.”
