Leeds United face West Bromwich Albion on Friday evening, in their latest Sky Bet Championship clash of the 2023/24 campaign.

Kick-off at Elland Road is at 8pm, as league action ‘under the lights’ returns to West Yorkshire for this one.

Daniel Farke’s side are looking for their first league win of the campaign, having drawn their opener against Cardiff City before losing in stoppage time last time out against Birmingham City.

Sandwiched between the two league games was a win over Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup though, meaning Farke’s side tasted success in their last Elland Road outing.

Visitors West Brom arrive on the back of a morale boosting victory at home to Swansea City last time out.

The Baggies had to work hard for the three points, having been three-goals up in the match before it eventually finished 3-2. The goals in that one came courtesy of Semi Ajayi, an own-goal and a John Swift penalty.

Prior to that win, Carlos Corberan’s side had lost their opening match of the league season 2-1 at Blackburn, before then being defeated at Stoke City in the Carabao Cup by the same scoreline.

In this early stage of the season, both teams could see significant movement in their place in the table with a victory. West Brom could go top of the league, whilst Leeds could move into third spot.
