Leeds United are taking on Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon, in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round.
The Whites face the Pilgrims at Elland Road, with the match getting underway at 3pm, in a clash between two Sky Bet Championship sides.
In the Third Round, both teams overcame teams from a lower division to progress. Plymouth were on home turf against League Two Sutton United and goals from Luke Cundle, Ryan Hardie and Morgan Whittaker secured a 3-1 victory.
Daniel Farke’s side travelled away from home, taking on League One promotion chasing Peterborough United. An Ethan Ampadu double and a Patrick Bamford wonderstrike sent Leeds through, with a 3-0 win.
This fixture has already been played once this season, at Elland Road in November. First half goals from Dan James and Joel Piroe put Farke’s side 2-0 up at the break. Ben Waine pulled one back late in second half for the visitors, but Leeds held on to claim the points.
The Pilgrims saw their best FA Cup finish in the 1983/84 campaign, reaching the semi-final of the competition before losing to Watford 1-0. Leeds famously won the competition in 1972, beating Arsenal at Wembley courtesy of Allan Clarke’s goal.
