Leeds United face Liverpool at home on Monday evening, in game number 31 of their 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

The Whites take on the Reds (8pm) under the lights of Elland Road, hoping to get back to winning ways after defeat last time out at home to Crystal Palace. Liverpool are in need of the points as well to move up the table.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 8th in the standings after coming from two-goals down in their last match, to draw 2-2 at home to top of the table Arsenal, at Anfield.

The reverse fixture at Anfield earlier in the season was a memorable one for Leeds fans. Rodrigo put his side ahead a short time into the match, before Crysencio Summerville netted a dramatic stoppage time winner to secure the points for United.

Coming into this match, each side are in need of the three points to move up the table as we head towards its conclusion. Liverpool have games in hand on their opponents around them and will be hoping for maximum points to move closer to a European spot for next season.

Leeds are still in amongst a fiercely contested battle in the bottom half of the league table. Results elsewhere oner the weekend has seen movement once again between teams.

Javi Gracia’s side could move up to 15th with a victory, whereas the Reds can’t move places but can close the points gap above them to Brighton & Hove Albion, who sit seventh currently.
