Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action as they host Derby County in Saturday’s lunchtime kick off.

The Whites will be keen to bounce back from defeat last time out, as they were narrowly edged out by Blackburn Rovers on the road, despite seeing a lot of possession at Ewood Park.

Daniel Farke’s side, however, have been in scintillating form on home turf, winning their last six league encounters at Elland Road.

Most recently, first-half strikes from Sam Byram and Joël Piroe put United two goals to the good at the break against Luton Town, before a sublime chipped effort from Dan James late on sealed the three points in style.

Those results leave Leeds third in the league’s standings after 18 matches, one point adrift of second-place Burnley.

Derby County, meanwhile, have enjoyed a relatively stable return to the second tier after promotion from League One last campaign, currently five points clear of the drop zone in 15th.

Despite that, the Rams have found form had to come by of late, picking up just one win in their last nine fixtures, when they beat Coventry City 2-1 away from home in early November.

Last time out, Paul Warne’s side slipped to a last-gasp defeat at Pride Park to Sheffield Wednesday, with Jamal Lowe’s injury time winner proving the difference for the Owls.

The sides’ most recent meeting came back in 2020 after promotion to the Premier League had been secured by the Whites.

Despite a much-changed team taking the field, Pablo Hernández and Jamie Shackleton were amongst the goals in an impressive 3-1 triumph for United.

Action from Elland Road gets underway at 12:30pm.
