Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action as they host Burnley in Saturday’s lunchtime kick off at Elland Road.
Prior to the international break, the Whites had been in scintillating form with successive 2-0 victories coming over Yorkshire opposition.
Having earned a well deserved 0-0 draw at The Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion, Daniel Farke’s side travelled to Hillsborough, where goals from Brenden Aaronson and Dan James proved the difference against Sheffield Wednesday.
Following victory in South Yorkshire, Leeds welcomed Hull City to Elland Road, with an impressive second half display seeing Mateo Joseph and Joël Piroe getting on the scoresheet in the win over the Tigers.
Leeds’ two victories and two draws from four matches leaves United sitting fourth in the Sky Bet Championship standings, four points behind early pace setters Sunderland and one point above Saturday’s visitors.
After emphatic victories against Luton Town and Cardiff City, Burnley’s early season winning run was brought to a halt as they fell to defeat in Sunderland, before drawing 1-1 with local rivals Blackburn Rovers last time out at Turf Moor.
The last time the Whites entertained the Clarets came in January 2022, with Stuart Dallas and Dan James memorably scoring late on to seal a 3-1 victory in the Premier League.
Action from Elland Road gets underway at 12:30pm.

On the sixth minute, Leeds United would also like to ask both sets of supporters to join together in a minute’s applause to remember young supporter Bob, who we were truly heartbroken to learn of his passing during the week. Our tribute to Bob can be found HERE.
